Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy
The use of innovative Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) Technology applied to Digestive Endoscopy, allows a more precise search for diseases of the digestive system and real-time intervention, via biopsy, on precancerous wounds. With NBI we can resort to the so-called chromo-magnification, which enables the Physician to distinguish very accurately between noncancerous lesions, early tumors, and invasive tumors, helping to identify in detail the margins of neoplastic areas and providing a detailed map for possible treatment of the injury.
NBI applied to Digestive Endoscopy allows a 50% improvement in the diagnostic ability of a traditional endoscopy and represents an innovation in the early detection of cancers and other digestive diseases, as it allows the patient to perform a normal endoscopy and the doctor to recognize a precancerous lesion with extreme accuracy.
The examination takes the patient a minimum of 20 minutes to a maximum of 40.
The performance time may change depending on the procedures that are required during the examination (removal of polyps (polypectomy), presence of restrictions, visibility condition depending on the patient’s preparation, etc.).
Gastroscopy and/or Colonoscopy are performed by a Physician experienced in this procedure, with decades of clincal examinations in digestive endoscopy. Also for foreign patients, without health cards.
